I’m passionate about creating community-centered art experiences that invite people to explore and integrate creative practices into their everyday lives. I have collaborated with libraries and private events in the past to design hands-on workshops.

I am happy to host events related to cyanotype printing, zine-making, silkscreening, collage, and weaving workshops, each designed to be engaging, approachable, and adaptable for different ages and settings. I would love to partner with your organization or event space to bring these photographic and art-making practices to your community.

Past Events

Cyanotype Workshops for Barnard College Zine Library

I’ve hosted cyanotype workshops for the Barnard Zine Library. Each workshop hosted around 15-25 participants. Each workshop includes (1) an introduction to cyanotypes, a cameraless photography technique often characterized by the Prussian-blue color of the final print, (2) the process of making cyanotypes, and (3) hands-on experimentation with making their own prints. The entire workshop lasts approximately 2 hours, and all materials were provided to participants.

Participants can take home the cyantypes that are made. Cyanotypes made during the workshop are scanned and compiled into a short zine that is later shared with participants after the workshop.

This event was covered by Bwog.

Collage Workshop for Barnard Library

I helped organize and host a collage workshop for ~15 participants, introducing them to and providing them with different collage materials. Participants learned a little about different collaging techniques and reference images for help guide them create their own collages. This workshop was paired with the launch of the Collage Corner at the Barnard Library, which was a collaboration between the Digital Humanities Center and the Zine Library.

Collage workshops often take around 1 hour, and all materials are provided. After the workshop, participants can take home their completed collages and any leftover print materials if they want to continue working on their collages at home.

Screenprinting Event for APAHM

For Columbia University’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Club, I organized a screenprinting workshop as their kick-off event for around 50 participants. I created and printed the event logo onto a silkscreen. During the event, participants could choose their own tote bag and between 2 different colors (white and blue) before hand-printing the logo onto the bag themselves.
